And it was confirmed on Monday that both parties had agreed to a mutual termination.

Sky Sports News have claimed that the experienced professional had been training with the youth side in recent weeks.

In an official statement, the Scottish side said that Dorrans has left the club “with the best wishes of everyone at Rangers”.

He’s now expected to join fellow Scottish top flight side Kilmarnock.
