da bet vitoria: Crystal Palace are facing a mass exodus of players and staff this year, with one star potentially following Jean-Philippe Mateta out the door.

da leao: Palace are navigating a turbulent period marked by significant departures and mounting uncertainty at Selhurst Park.

The south London outfit lost captain Marc Guehi to Man City and face the prospect of further upheaval before the transfer deadline.

Guehi completed his switch to the Etihad Stadium for an initial fee of £20 million plus performance-related add-ons (ESPN), signing a deal that runs until 2031.

The 25-year-old England international travelled to Manchester on Sunday to undergo his medical examination and finalise his contract (ESPN), and Palace were powerless to resist City’s approach.

Guehi’s contract was set to expire in June and the club faced a nightmare scenario of losing their skipper without compensation, making a winter deal very likely to begin with.

To make matters worse, manager Oliver Glasner publicly announced his summer departure during last Friday’s pre-match press conference, revealing he informed chairman Steve Parish back in October that he would not be renewing his existing deal.

The 51-year-old guided Palace to their maiden major trophy by capturing the FA Cup last season, yet his decision to seek pastures new came months before it was public knowledge.

Glasner cited his appetite for fresh challenges as the motivation behind his choice, insisting the timing had nothing to do with January’s transfer activity (Sky Sports).

However, his frustrations bubbled over following Saturday’s loss at Sunderland, where he declared his squad felt “abandoned” and criticised the decision to offload Guehi mere hours before kick-off.

Glasner could also be set to lose striker Mateta, who bagged 17 goals for the Eagles last season and 10 in all competitions this campaign.

The Frenchman is reliably believed to be eyeing the exit door after Guehi and Glasner, informing Palace of his intention to leave before the February 2 deadline amid interest from Aston Villa and Juventus.

Following the aforementioned trio, there is also the matter of Jefferson Lerma’s potential departure.

Jefferson Lerma offered to Palmerias with agents tempted by transfer

According to South American news outlet Nosso Palestra and journalist Leonardo Barbieri, Palace face the prospect of Lerma going, as it is suggested that the 31-year-old has been offered to Palmeiras.

The defensive midfielder’s deal expires at the end of the season, placing Palace in a precarious position regarding his future.

Lerma’s camp are believed to be tempted by the possibility of a switch to South American football, with the World Cup taking place later this year providing additional motivation for such a move.

This development arrives at an awkward moment for Palace, already reeling from Guehi’s move to City, Glasner’s confirmation he will leave and Mateta’s eagerness to quit.

Despite the Colombian being made available, Palmeiras are yet to open discussions and remain focused on assessing whether he fits their requirements.

Should Lerma stay beyond January, Palace risk watching him walk away for nothing when his contract concludes.

Any winter sale would at least generate some income during an already chaotic transfer window, but it would leave Glasner another regular short.

Lerma has made 31 appearances in all competitions as a solid utility player for Glasner, and even his exit would leave a gaping hole.
